A MEMORIAL

A MEMORIAL.

“Who built the Taj Mahal?”
Asked the school principal,
To students of class final.
In reply said a girl pupil
“Built by laborers several
Concluding the job well”

“No” shouted the principal,
“Shah Jahan, I told you all”

“He didn’t hold a shovel
Nor did lay a brick at all,
How could we him call
‘Builder of [...]

WISDOM

A fool
is not a fool
when
he is quite cool.
A
wise man
becomes a fool
when
he is not cool.
A
person is a person
who
loves the other person
And
thinks for weal common.

LOVE TRAITS

Deepika! At our first sight in the park we met
I became enchanted toward your charming gait
Akin to a swan walking on the downy surface
Of pond waters situate near mountain precipice.

Your eyelids appeared like pink rose petals
Your eyeballs resembled the tender palm nuts
Your nose looked like a ripened cashew fruit
Your lips quivered like the harmonium reeds.

Your [...]

IN SEARCH OF MAN

IN SEARCH OF MAN

Tracing the cattle hoof prints
I went searching for human tenements
And for several palm leaves
Astonishing, hidden in archives,
I went on searching and searching
And my inquest remained unending;
I found a dwelling,
But nowhere I saw any person.
There is no end of the creation
Nor there is indication of destruction;
With the victorious march of science,
The [...]

IN QUEST OF SOLUTIONS

Many doubts arise in my mind,
all about the man kind,
Animals, birds, trees, mountains and rivers;
The search for answers is continuing since many days.

Sankaracharya’s theory,
Often causes my mind worry,
That if the entirety is illusory
Then my quest is imaginary
That I don’t admit.

How can I disown my lovely image
My dog barking ‘bhow bhow’
My [...]

SELECTION OF BRIDE

SELECTION OF BRIDES

Now-a-days, the marriages are made
Not in the Heaven, but thro’ tricky trade;
The grooms sitting in their native abodes
Interview girls of different grades
And reject one by one, if dot money is unpaid;
The girls of letters and high breed,
Even many a time, to parents whims surrender
Like the ewes from herdsmen won’t asunder
And [...]

THE UNIVERSAL THEATER

O! God I had not to ye submitted any application
Soliciting Thy favor for me on this universe born
Nor do I ever express towards ye my indignation
For all the felonies I perpetrate, as you enjoin.
If my infractions in your noble consideration
Are deemed unpardonable and impeachable sins,
O! Lord, Thou art creating puppets me akin
Displaying us in [...]

Rama Raju Bhushan’s “Vasu Charitra”

By
(Late Dr.Bezawada Gopala Reddy)

As chief minister, on my tour,
In the district of Anantapur,
I reached Penugonda at night,
After speaking at an evening meet,
As the moths lullabied the dark night,
My mind went back to memories past,
Rama Raju Bhusan was cast
In my inward eyes, as the peace-icon,
Who had the ‘Vasu Charita’ written?
And enjoyed pride immense,
That this was [...]

THE NYMPH

She saw me
And I saw her
We spoke to none
For, we were
Apart far.
A noble woman
Of high breed
She to me looked
Alike a courtesan
Descended Heaven.
Her graceful gaits
And manoeuvering sights
And beautiful protrait
With narrow waist
Did she me atrract.
